Volunteering

You can help us by volunteering at the Project.

We have a number of volunteering opportunities:

Administration: Answering the telephone, seeing to customers, organising the collections and deliveries.

Premises: Keeping the warehouse and grounds tidy

Workshop: Helping with furniture restoration. A knowledge of furniture restoration is required.

The Project provides all volunteers with protective clothing and lunch expenses.

If you would like to volunteer for the Project by offering a few hours a week we would like to hear from you.

Currently we have eight regular volunteers who play a valuable role at the Furniture Project. They gain benefit from being associated with a successful and respected organisation, develop interpersonal skills through working in and for the community, and have the opportunity to gain paid employment. Our volunteers gave a total of 3600 hours to the Project in the last 12 months, in the areas of Administration (850 hrs), Warehouse (1250 hrs), Workshop (1500 hrs).
